Melchizedek Discernment Groups

Not sure if you are called to be a priest, but open to learning more? The Melchizedek Discernment Groups are six-week small groups for young men in the Diocese of Gaylord who desire to explore the priesthood in a prayerful, supportive setting.

Each group consists of 5–10 men and meets weekly with a priest from the Vocation Team. Together, participants will pray, build fraternity, and engage in honest conversation about the priesthood and vocational discernment. Topics include what daily priestly life looks like, how priests prepare for sacraments and preaching, what it is like to hear confessions, and how to recognize whether God may be calling you to the priesthood.

Groups are offered throughout the year in Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. Whether you are seriously discerning or simply curious and open, the Melchizedek Project is a great first step in learning more about God’s plan for your life.
